Gaiwan

A Gaiwan (盖碗) is a traditional steeping vessel that consists of a shallow bowl, a lid and a saucer. Known for its utility the gaiwan well suited for any type of tea. Invented in the Ming Dynasty it actually pre-dates the teapot.
